What are you watching? Okay I confess. I’m a reality TV junkie. I just can’t get enough of “Dancing With the Stars,” “American Idol” and…yes, “The Bachelor.” I can’t help but wonder what the networks will think of next! I’m also watching our home-delivered newspaper get thinner and thinner, while our weekly community newspaper is growing in size. It makes me wonder whether a growing economy will affect this trend, or if it’s the new norm. And, thanks to Facebook, I’m completely up to date on graduations, weddings and other friend and family events.

What are you watching? People’s listening habits have my attention. Time spent with traditional radio is diminishing. Growth of satellite radio subscriptions, Pandora, Apple’s iTunes and MP3s players have really impacted traditional terrestrial radio. HD radio is slow to catch on and build an audience. Radio will survive, but likely will sound different than it does today.

What are you watching? I’m keeping my eyes on the social shopping trend. I think it’s fascinating how the “like” button has transcended the boundaries of Facebook – it’s everywhere. Services like Groupon, Alice and Foursquare are changing the way we shop and interact. Now it’s easier than ever to recommend products and venues to Facebook friends and Twitter followers, and these services continue to engage not only shoppers but brands as well. I think the interface between social networking and shopping will continue to grow.

What are you watching? This is a TV time of year for me, and I have a lot of favorites this year. I love delving into Criminal Minds and Big Bang Theory, and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire has me hooked. The History Channel’s Pawn Stars and Swamp People are great glimpses into our culture – who knew the Louisiana swamp had renaissance men? I get my football fix from NFL on Sirius, and I go online for all the news, from USA Today to NYT to Facebook.

What are you watching? I am watching Netflix, HBO and IFC. Could it be that all my TV is ad-free? Of course not: There's always Mad Men!

What are you watching? I’m a living example of the multiple screen trend. My family has hectic work and school schedules, and sitting down to watch TV just doesn’t fit into the schedule on most days. I don’t know how I’d get everything done without being able to multi-task and multi-screens. We’re watching more shows online and relying on mobile devices to share info and keep our schedules straight.
