2D Barcodes Jump from Advertising to Fashion

2D barcodes have been all-over print and outdoor advertisements this past year.  We even included one in this advertisement for Firestone Building Products.  We might leapfrog this technology with something else to connect the offline world to digital real estate, but until then consumers are having fun placing 2D codes in unexpected places.  Check out this video for making a 2D barcode scarf to get a taste of this trend:

    Real estate agents have discovered the value of mobile and are incorporating into thieir marketing campaigns. I see 2D barcodes becoming the next thing to evolve and are one more powerful marketing tool in the tool kit.
